The Ventanilla de Salud (VDS) Program is a bi-national effort between Mexico and the United States which focuses on bridging the gap between immigrants and the general population in terms of access to health care and health education. The program works towards this goal by partnering with different local health organizations to provide immigrant populations illness prevention services.
The VDS is located inside the Mexican Consulate's office (address below), which serves over 200 people on a daily basis, traveling from all over the state of Utah and western Wyoming. While at the consulate, clients can visit the booth to receive a wide variety of services including health information, diagnostic tests, health referrals, and information about public benefits.

The Ventanilla de Salud is a permanent program that operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Partner organizations collaborate with our Health Booth to coordinate a public health event at least once a month. The VDS also participates in the “Mobile Consulates” hosted regularly by the Mexican Consulate around the state to provide services for families living far from the main offices.

If you belong to an organization that would be interested in partnering with our Health Booth Program to provide outreach health services to the Latino/Hispanic community, please contact the Program's Coordinator, Andrea Medina, at andrea @cuutah.org for more information.
