Mi Voto Cuenta/My Vote Counts

Mi Voto Cuenta
“Mi Voto Cuenta” is a nonpartisan voter education and registration program coordinated by Comunidades Unidas in partnership Latino/Hispanic leaders to increase the Latino/Hispanic vote in Utah. Our goals are:

· To educate Latino/Hispanic Utahns about the voting process;
· To register Latino/Hispanic American citizens; and
· To get as many registered Latino/Hispanic to the polls in November as possible.  

“Mi Voto Cuenta” (My Vote Counts) partners are community groups, businesses, and local media that share a commitment to civic participation and full representation for Utah's Latino/Hispanic families. “Mi Voto Cuenta” counts with the full support of

· West Valley City Mayor, Mike Winder
· Salt Lake County Clerk, Sherrie Swensen
· Utah County Clerk, Bryan Thompson

What's a Welcome Campaign? Based on a model that originated in Tennessee, a Welcome Campaign uses media outreach and public engagement to promote healthy dialogue about immigrants, refugees, race and ethnicity in communities across the country.
