Isabel Allende

Immigration Rights Advocate

Born in Tampico, Tamaulipas. Isabel's passion is service to the community, she collaborated with the Family Center at Granger Elementary as a volunteer who empowered parents and families with language barriers.

In March 2019, Allende arrived at Comunidades Unidas as a volunteer and later graduated from the Promotoras program in June of the same year. She started working as a Promotora of the Ventanilla de Asesoría Financiera--Comunidades Unidas’ financial advisory program--at the Mexican Consulate. There, she provides educational workshops for the community, so that every Latino in Utah can be healthy, economically stable, and self-sufficient. Likewise, she tasks herself with the responsibility to empower families with lower incomes so they can obtain assistance through programs such as SNAP and Medicaid.

Isabel also loves to walk in nature while admiring the trees, plants, and flowers.
