Marin Christensen is a PhD candidate studying the inequitable impacts of social policy (or lack thereof). Her experience engaging underserved Utah communities through research at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, then as Associate Director at Utah Women and Leadership Project, and now with her own consultancy, has taught her that the methods and mission of Comunidades Unidas is paramount. The voices and needs of the undocumented are largely ignored, and CU gives them voice, services, and empowerment. Marin is incredibly honored to support Comunidades Unidas as a board member and is committed to see the organization succeed. The immigrant and undocumented community deserve much more support, as they continue to support Utah in untold ways.
