Since 2008, Comunidades Unidas has carried out campaigns that provide Utah’s new, low-propensity, and historically marginalized voters the chance to learn how to engage in the process. While the type of work we did through the campaigns has evolved over the years to meet voters where they are, one thing has remained constant: we provide voters with the facts they need to make informed decisions at the polls.

IMPORTANT DATES
October 13th: General Election ballots are mailed out
October 23th: Last day to register to vote in the regular General Election
* In Utah, eligible voters can register to vote and cast their ballot on Election Day as well*
October 27th: Last day to request a mail ballot
November 3rd: Election Day

YOUR RIGHTS
ON ELECTION DAY
- If the polls close while you’re still in line, stay in line – you have the right to vote.
- If you make a mistake on your ballot, ask for a new one.
-If the machines are down at your polling place, ask for a paper ballot.
- You have the right to vote free from intimidation, threats, or coercion.
- You have protections against discrimination.
- Not speaking English well does not take away your right to vote. Federal law protects eligible voters who have difficulty reading or writing English, including the ability in qualifying circumstances, to bring someone they choose to assist them.
- You can ask for help voting. In Utah, voters who have a disability, are blind, cannot read or write, have difficulty reading or writing English, or cannot physically enter a polling place may receive assistance from a person of their choice, subject to certain exceptions.
