Dominique Byrd is the Executive Director at Comunidades Unidas.  Dominique started as an intern at Comunidades Unidas in 2022 and joined as a staff member shortly afterward. During her internship, she participated in the workers rights and preventative health program before transitioning into administrative work. She is passionate about immigrants rights, workers rights, equitable access to healthcare, and environmental justice. As Development Coordinator, she assisted with administrative tasks, finances, and grant writing. After serving as interim Executive Director for six months, she officially tansitioned into a permanent role in July of 2025. ​
